Sandy Retreat is a 2 bedroom 2.5 bath Townhome with a loft,  right in the heart of Port A and within walking distance to the beach. The resort-style pool is heated in the winter months, complete with a slide, Palapas for shade, and a BBQ area that is a perfect place to round out a day of fun. This home brings a calming feel inside with touches of island décor in shades of blue and green carried throughout. The bottom level of this Townhome holds the dining/kitchen/living area. The full-size kitchen is equipped with stainless steel appliances, a regular coffee maker, dishes, pots, pans, and utensils. Enjoy your freshly prepared meals at the dining table accommodating six and additional seating for three at the breakfast bar. Relax in the living room on the couch (which converts to a Queen-size sleeper), matching armchairs, and recliner while watching movies on the wall-mounted TV. There is a half bath to serve this floor. Take your morning coffee or cold beverage out to the private back patio and grill up the day's catch for a quick and easy meal. Get a good night's rest in the bedrooms located upstairs. The first bedroom (BR1) contains a King bed with a bench at the foot, nightstands, a chest, a closet, and a wall-mounted TV.  The ensuite bathroom provides a vanity and a large tiled shower. The loft area is made up of a Full sofa sleeper and a wall-mounted TV, great for kids to stretch out and play. The second bedroom (BR2) consists of a King bed, nightstands, chair, chest, a wall-mounted TV, and a private front balcony with outdoor seating.  The hallway includes a full-size stacked washer/dryer tucked in a closet and a bathroom with a tub/shower and detachable handheld showerhead. After a day at the beach or shopping, walk over to the shared pool for more fun on the slide, sitting under the Palapas, or taking in some sunshine. Sandy Retreat is an excellent place to stay for small families or with friends. You’re 1 block from the sand and surf and central to all things Port Aransas, including delicious seafood, pristine golf courses, fishing piers, and music venues. Learn about the area’s boating history at the museum, 4 blocks away. Then, order cold drinks and listen to live music at different venues around town.

I really enjoyed our stay. We have 4 kids (13yrs, 12 yrs, 5 yrs and 1 year) it was enough room for us. The kitchen had basic cooking/eating essentials, plus plates and cups which is helpful. We rented a golf cart and it was quick access to the beach. Literally a street away, too far to walk with a family but perfect for a quick golf cart ride. The pool was awesome, we mostly had it to ourselves and it was heated. The house was clean and cozy.

This townhome is beautifully decorated. Perfect location to the beach & shops, etc. The beds are super comfy. The pool is fun for everyone. We will definitely be back.

The townhome is in the perfect location, especially if you rent a golf cart during your stay. To park at the beach, you need a permit so getting a golf cart was the perfect solution for going back and forth and also keeping the sand out of our car. The beach is only a few blocks away, so even if you walk it only takes about 10 minutes. We also really enjoyed taking the golf cart to \"town\" for ice cream, shopping and sightseeing and then spending the evenings in the beautiful pool. The townhome was clean, decorated beautifully and the beds were so amazing! One of the bedrooms opens up to a good sized balcony, where we enjoyed eating a few meals, playing cards or just hanging out. It can get a little loud since it faces out onto the parking lot, but for the most part it was really nice out there. The private backyard backs up to another townhome so it's not private and the rocks don't make it very comfortable to sit out there, but we used that space to dry swimsuits. It would have been nice to have several hooks on the back porch for hanging towels and swimsuits as well as hooks in the bathrooms. We tried watching tv, but other than how to turn the tv on, there weren't any instructions for how to get channels or use a streaming service so we just kept the tv off. But if you like watching tv in bed or having it on in the living room, just be prepared that we could only get one channel every now and then. The overall property was really nice and felt very clean and safe. The water hose near the front door was really helpful for getting off sand before heading inside. We took the golf cart to Bron's Shaved Ice, Port A Creamery, Desserted Island Ice Cream, several shops and Winton's Candies. The ice cream and candy stores only took cash, but were so good! Fin's Grill & Icehouse was a great dinner choice! We had a great time and would definitely stay here again!
